Hewlett-Packard, the global technology, computing and IT services provider, has now split into two separate companies: Hewlett Packard Enterprise, which focuses on infrastructure, software and services, and mainly deals with large corporations and bodies; and HP Inc., which covers the firm's personal systems and printing segment.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense expands HP’s biometric system in checkpoints

In 2011, the Basel system was installed in the following checkpoints: Jericho, Bethlehem (Ma'avar Rachel), Jenin, Nablus, Tulkarem, Hebron, Abu Dis, Tarkumia and the Ephraim Gate (Sha'ar Efraim, Irtach); and in the Erez checkpoint in Gaza.

HP will continue maintaining the Basel System until the end of 2015

According to a response by the Israeli Ministry of defense to a freedom of information inquiry submitted by Who Profits, HP is contracted to maintain the Basel biometric system in West Bank and Gaza checkpoints until the end of 2015.
