One of the companies hired by the Israeli Ministry of Defense to operate checkpoints as part of their privatization, along with Sheleg Lavan company. In the framework of this project, all the checkpoints along the separation wall apparatus will be privetized, currently 14 checkpoints have went through this process. Modi’in Ezrachi operates the following checkpoints in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip: Habik’ah (on road no. 90), Jalma (Gilboa), Rihan, Irtah (Sha’ar Efrayim), Eliyahu, Eyal and Hotze Shomron (on road no. 5). In addition, the company operates checkpoints in the Jerusalem area, including Qalandiya, Sheikh Sa’ed, Anata and Al-Jib (Giv’at Ze’ev).
Modi’in Ezrachi was hired by the Israeli Ministry of Housing and Construction to provide security services to Israeli settlements in East Jerusalem. In September 2010, a security gueard of Modi’in Ezrachi had shot and killed a Palestinian resident of Silwan in East Jerusalem. The company also provided security services to the construction site built upon the ruins of the Shepherd Hotel in East Jerusalem and to the Western Wall compound in the old city of Jerusalem. The company operates branches in the settlement of Ariel and in East Jerusalem.
Additionally, the company provides security services to settlements in the West Bank. As part of a project to privatize the security of the settlements, the company provides security services to all the settlements in the Mateh Binyamin regional council, which includes 11 outposts. The company also provides security services to the settlements of Ariel, Oranit, Sha’arei Tikva, Barkan, Yakir, Ma’ale Shomron and Kiryat Arba.
Modi’in Ezrachi also provides security services to Israeli police facilities in East Jerusalem and in the settlement of Ma’ale Adumim.
Additionally, the company provides security services to the settler organization El’ad in occupied East Jerusalem.
The company also provides security services to the Israel Railways and different Israeli ministries, including a facility of the Ministry of Defense in Jerusalem. The company also provides security services to Elbit, IKEA and to Caterpillar Israel.
The company is owned by Ychiel Dahan through Margalin Holdongs and Mordechai (Moti) Dahan through Ravid A.R. Holdings.
