MDT Protective Industries in collaboration with MDT Armor and the Israeli army has developed the ‘David’ – an armored patrol and reconnaissance vehicle, designed for urban combat (Land Rover‘s 110 and 130 Defender models constitute the chassis upon which David is built). The David vehicles have been in service with the Israeli Army since 2004, and have become the standard patrol vehicle, with hundreds units of it deployed around Gaza and inside the West Bank. The David is also commonly used by the Civil Administration.

David Vehicles are used by the Israeli army to protect illegal settlements and military bases along the West Bank, to prevent Palestinian shepherds from herding on their lands and to oppress Palestinian demonstrators. David Vehicles carrying tear Gas launchers on their roofs were used during non violence demonstrations in the village of Nabi Saleh.

Additionally, the company supplies armed vehicles to the Israeli Police and the Israeli Security Service.
