Between 1994 and 2006, Dor Alon had a fuel distribution monopoly for the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and the Gaza strip. At the beginning of 2007, the company lost the West Bank market, but kept its position as Gaza’s sole fuel supplier. Since 2007 the company has been cutting the supply of petroleum to Gaza as part of the sanctions against the Hamas regime in the Gaza strip. The company has lost its control over Gaza’s fuel distribution only in 2012.
